Some companies require interfaces to manage complex sets of documents and assets. We have developed a tool which provides an easy-to-use interface for managing hundreds of fields of text, dates, percentages and tabular data in a web interface. The user is able to compare data between many records or make swift updates to a single field across entire sections depending on the situation.

For this purpose we have developed a very generic user interface that will render any set of fields in a tabular view. The user picks the fields required from an intuitive list matching the well-known location of these fields in the user interface, the fields are then laid out in a table. Related subordinate tables are presented in a hierarchy directly underneath their parent record, allowing quick access to any level of data. Each column is strongly typed, so percentage and currency fields will only accept valid data and upon editing they will be formatted appropriately; other field types will have similar masking, validation and formatting rules applied to them. This means you will never end in a situation where the data you’re looking at cannot be saved because invalid characters were entered by mistake.

Any access in the system is controlled via Windows group memberships and administrated through the Active Directory admin tools. Any action is logged.
